My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms had a strong musty smell and were located above the busy kitchen, but they offered a balcony with a lovely view of the lake. Despite being a bit shabby, the room's décor with a sloping attic ceiling added charm to the stay. The service was exceptional, with friendly and efficient staff. The location was perfect, overlooking Brienz Lake and conveniently close to train stations. The dining experience across the road was superb with stunning lake views. However, the noise from the kitchen and the musty smell in the room were minor drawbacks.
